Mission Statement
The Gary Chamber of Commerce exists to promote and protect the interest of businesses that contribute to the quality of life in Gary through the establishment, retention, expansion and promotion of a positive and stable economic climate in partnership with government, labor and education.
What is the Gary Chamber of Commerce?
The Gary Chamber of Commerce is a voluntary organization comprised of business owners, community leaders and citizens who choose to invest their time and money into a community development action plan with all parties – working together to improve the economic, civic and cultural well being of the area.
Businesses, individuals and organizations are all eligible to belong to the Gary Chamber of Commerce. Dues are structured so even the smallest business can be a member. Members finance the work of the Gary Chamber, based on their abilities and interest, with a broad scope of opportunities to serve.
The Gary Chamber is fueled by volunteers serving as committee workers, directors and officers. Professional staff devotes effort to build strong organizations and carry out the policies determined by the Board of Directors to best represent the interests of the membership.
